Our End of Year Concert will be held on Sunday 14th December 2025 starting at 9:00am .

All students participating in our End of Year Concert work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.
In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact reception to let us know in advance.
If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.
A lot of time and liaising with suppliers has gone into creating these awesome packages for you, from giving you a package of everything your child needs right through to everything you and your child could want to make this the most memorable experience ever!!!

Every student needs their own package.
Please Note: If you have 2 or more children that you are purchasing packs for - the video and photo links will have all shows available. For example; If you are wanting just what your child needs for the concert then you would purchase the Classic Pack for each child. If you were wanting the best possible memory keepsake then you would purchase the Exclusive Pack for the first child and then the Classic Pack for each additional child

A concert fee of your chosen package per student will be payable and is due by 10th November 2025 . Students who have not paid their concert fee will be unable to perform in the concert.
CONCERT TSHIRT
All students receive a concert commemorative t-shirt included as part of their performers package. You can pre-select the size you wish to receive by filling out the form below. Th due date for this is 20th October 2025 - anyone who has not preselected their shirt size will have their t-shirt assigned based on their age.

CONCERT MEMORABILIA
VIDEOGRAPHY
We engage the services of a Professional Videographer. All parents that have purchased the Deluxe or Exclusive package will receive a digital download of the shows included as a part of your concert performer package. All parents will be emailed with a unique log in which will enable you to view and download the concert videos at home.
If you have recently changed emails, please drop us an email at [email protected] to ensure we have an up to date email address for you and you don’t miss out.
ON STAGE PHOTOS
We engage the services of a Professional Photographer who will be taking on stage photos of all shows. All digital images will be provided to parents which is included as a part of the Exclusive concert performer package.
Please be aware that they are “live on stage” images and there is no way to guarantee that photos will be taken of each individual child, however as much care as possible will be taken to capture all students. All digital images will be provided to parents which is included as a part of the Exclusive concert performer package.
REHEARSAL DAY
SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER 2025
Arrival Time - 8:15am
Rehearsal Start Time - 9:00am
Rehearsal Finish Time - 10:00am
Location - NEX - West's Leagues Club Newcastle
Here at SBDS Dance and Cheer we are very mindful that this is an extremely busy time of year for parents and we aim to keep our rehearsals as timely as possible. We estimate that this rehearsal will run for approx 1 hour.
This will be a full costume rehearsal. The rehearsal is super important for your child as this gives them an insight into what to expect on the day and how it will all run. It is also a great way to settle any nerves before the big show!
Students need to do the following for dress rehearsal day:
Arrive at the set arrival time
Arrive dressed in concert t-shirt and black tights or shorts with joggers
Wear Dance undergarments that would be worn on concert day (see further information detailed later in "what to wear")
Bring costumes in the zip locked bags that they were provided to you in with the relevant shoes in the bag with the costume.
No makeup is required
Hair to be in a middle part low bun
DROP OFF & PICK UP
On concert day, all of the students will be staying backstage with us for the duration of the concert. Students need to arrive with their hair done in a middle part low bun and if you choose for your child to wear make up, this must also be done, makeup is 100% optional. Students are required to arrive 45mins before their show time.
During the dropping off times, we ask that one parent/guardian comes with their child into the drop off area (you will be directed once inside the venue).
Pick up will be from the stage area at the end of the show. Further information regarding pick up will be released closer to our event.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us. We will ensure that we talk you through the concert day procedure again in the weeks leading up to the concert.
SECURITY & STUDENT SAFETY
As always, the safety of our dance family is our #1 priority. On concert day all students will need to be signed in / out of security lists to gain access backstage. All backstage helpers will be issued with security passes that are required to be worn at all times. Only SBDS Dance and Cheer staff and registered parent helpers are permitted backstage. We are unable to run messages or food to students, so please make sure they have everything before they come backstage for rehearsal and the concert. There will be security at the door for the entire day checking passes. We do this to protect the students, please respect this policy. Please try not to bring anything valuable, especially electronic devices. Mobile phones are not to be taken backstage or in the changing areas during the concert. Our studio will take no responsibility if an item is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If your child has any Medical Conditions that may require attention whilst in our care or are carrying any medication with them, please notify our supervisors when you sign in.
FIRSTLY - I cannot stress enough how important it is to have your child's name written on absolutely everything!
WHAT TO WEAR
All students are to arrive at the concert wearing their commemorative t-shirt with either black tights or shorts and joggers
FINALE COSTUME
All students participate in the finale on conclusion of their show/s. Students wear their commemorative t-shirt, their black bottoms and joggers for this.

UNDERWEAR
Please be aware that under stage lights, dark coloured or patterned underwear does not look good under costumes. Please make sure your child is wearing flesh coloured underwear.
HAIR - see photos below
Dancers will require a middle part low bun, Bun nets a recommended.
Please note, for boys neat and tidy hair is all that is required. No colours or crazy hairstyles please.
MAKEUP - see photo below
Makeup is 100% optional. Please see details below if your child is wanting to wear make up.
Stage make up is applied slightly heavier than normal day makeup however. please try not to cake it on or make it look like a mask as this does not look natural on stage.
Apply make-up base. Apply pinkish/ brown tone blush to cheekbones.
Apply brown eye shadow on lid – work from the inside corner along the lash line. You may also like to use cream under the brow to highlight.
Define the eyes with black eyeliner pencil. Use along the top and bottom lash lines.
Add black mascara to both top and bottom lashes.
Apply nude lipstick.
Please note, boys are not required to wear makeup.
JEWELLERY AND NAIL POLISH
No Jewellery is to be worn, please leave all jewellery at home. Please avoid dark, bright nail polish.
WHAT TO BRING
FOOD & DRINK
In line with venue rules there is to be NO food in dressing rooms. Please make sure your child has eaten before they are dropped off to us. Please bring a labelled water bottle ONLY.
PACKING CHECKLIST
All students are required to bring their costume/s in the clear zip lock bags as provided with the relevant shoes in each costume bag. Please write their names all over everything that they bring, every year we have so many pairs of dance shoes and uniforms lost that are never claimed. Please use the following checklist:
Dance underwear (wear on arrival)
Concert t-shirt, black bottoms and joggers for finale (wear on arrival)
Shoes in relevant costume bags
Water Bottle
Costumes are an exciting and important part of our End of Year Concerts.
It is absolutely vital that the costumes are kept in the zip locked bags that they are provided to you in and also brought to the venue for rehearsal and concert in these bags. The shoes relevant to each dance need to be placed into the bag with the costume for the dress rehearsal and concert.
Please avoid allowing your child to wear these costumes at home prior to the concert day - they can be ruined very easily by spillages etc and we do not have any spares to replace them.
